An interesting mix of different local art groups and artists participated in the Pagkarahay Painting Exhibit. The exhibition was launched on February 24, 2018 at the Research Center of Central Bicol State University of Agrilculture (CBSUA. The Pagkarahay Arts Camp and Festival featured lectures and workshops in different fields of art. These workshops were held in Social Hall and Research Center of Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. Country’s leading muralists and street artists travelled to Pili, Camarines Sur to participate in Pagkarahay Festival on February 24-25, 2018. Muralists revamped unused walls and burnt buildings of Central Bicol State University, and painted the massive firewall of Pili Municipal Hall. The relationship between art and the market has always been tricky. There is a pressure to meet the demands of the market and the artistic freedom of the artists. To shed light on the current issues in the art scene, organizers of the Muni-muni sa Museo invited a renowned visual artist, a lawyer and art collector, and a gallery owner. The finale of Muni-muni sa Museo Art Talk series was held at Luis Aguado Viewing Room in De La Salle University-Dasmarinas on March 13, 2018.
Installation artists from different parts of the country transformed the university grounds of CBSUA with their artworks using found objects and local materials. A total of 16 site-specific art installations were erected in different areas of the university. Most of the artworks were produced with the assistance of student volunteers from CBSUA. Some the artworks require the direct collaboration of the general public like Hayme Vincent’s installation- “Art Virus”, which sprea
